LE CHATEAU DU PORT
Distance - 20 minute drive
This restaurant is stunning and one of our favourites, the set menu is a luxurious seafood menu and great value - although the a la cart menu is so damned divine it’s hard not to stray. It’s a white tablecloth dining, overlooking the port and right next to the sea and oyster beds, you can take a boat out to go see them. The staff are simply lovely and speak english.

Marseillan port is nice for a little wander, the Noilly Prat Vermouth museum is there (French Vermouth – like Martini) they have a bar and garden where you can have a drink. There are a few of shops to browse, as well as a car boot sale at Marseillan. We go there on a Sunday, visiting Chateau du Port for lunch (it’s old school, they speak English and it’s divine).
