Beziers is the closest city to Bois D’argent and has its own airport. The Beziers website is wonderful and has a very helpful english translation option. It also has a ‘What’s On’ calendar showing forthcoming events.

Beziers is a beautiful city, the cathedral and the gardens are stunning and are well worth a visit. The centre is lovely for shopping and wandering, remember some shops may close for lunch. The winding streets have multi coloured umbrellas hanging to shade you from the sun and on an an evening they have light shows in the city.
Beziers has a bustling food market called ‘Les Halles’ in the centre and many of the stalls you can eat at, they may not speak English and it can get busy, but there is nothing more French and it’s a wonderful experience. Maybe try ‘La Gargote des Halles’, you can buy your own meat from the market, and they will cook it for you. You can choose from the daily blackboard menu (note: closed until late 2024).
There are a few Michelin starred restaurants which are simply amazing.

Ô PETITS BONTEMPS
Distance - 35 minute drive
We love and strongly recommend Ô Petits Bontemps. Located next to the library in Beziers, it’s exciting, delicious and aesthetically pleasing Instagram worthy food. It should have a Michelin Star or two in my opinion. Run by both husband and wife, who are lovely, very friendly and speak English. It’s mainly open during the day, but they do open some weekend evenings in the summer. Must book.
