ROQUEBRUN ON THE ORB RIVER

Distance - 60 minute drive
We love, love, love, this village. Roquebrun, sits above the Orb river, which has a pebble beach and beautiful views of the multicoloured village above. Roquebrun has a bar (which serves food), a pizzeria, an ice cream shop, an antique shop and a wine cave. You can hire kayaks from under the bridge, but remember it’s a pebble beach, so take water shoes.
Lunch time - you can either book lunch at the pizzeria, which has a balcony overlooking the river or you could take a picnic, which is what most people do.
You can go on the main part of the beach, where the majority of people go, or if you walk further along the river you will find a more secluded spot. Just be aware that there are strong undercurrents the further from the main ‘beach’ you go.
There’s free parking on the beach, on the opposite side of the river to the multi coloured building.
